Exactly 1 month and 10 days since my last post. That’s not good. Well, considering I haven’t exactly been playing WoW for nearly all of that time, it would be slightly hard to blog about WoW. Well, finally, months after I first proposed it, I’m ready. Ready to step fully into the deep dark abyss that is Wordpress… (queue spooky music now.) Obviously, I’ll keep this site up for archival purposes, although I doubt people will ever be dying to read old post’s I’ve written. But this is the last post here; all of my future posts will be at my new blog. I’ll miss this place, but I’m glad I’m moving. And move I shall, I’m turning out the lights, you’ll never see me again here. See you on the other side…

Lost My Internetz!

It sucks, losing internet for 2 weeks. It sucks even more when you find out after you call your internet provider that you were just a total nOOb and just had a simple cable slightly unplugged. But it does explain the radio silence on the blog over the past two weeks. And the utter fail to move the blog when I said I would. I’m going to keep this post short, seeing as I haven’t been on WoW in two weeks, and therefore don’t have much to talk about on a WoW blog. Also, summer is over ( :( ) and so now it’s back to the daily grind. That, surprisingly, means that sometimes I have more important stuff to do than play WoW.

Nearly ready…

No sooner than I release an angry post about the plight of my weird contrasty picture problem, I find a solution!I fixed it! It seems WoWwise, I picked the worst week ever to isolate myself from civilization. Not that I didn’t enjoy it, it’s just so much happened in the short 6 days I was gone, it was impossible for my brain to digest it all without it exploding with happiness.

When I got home, the first little bit of WoW news I saw was 3.2.2 and the Onyxia revamp. So I scurried around the internetz making sure it wasn’t a big fat lie, and when I found out the facts I had a short little happydance. And after, I had an even shorter moment of silence, for the fallen, the brave, the now uncompletable Onyxia attunement quest chain!

Then, of course, I caught wind of the ‘leaked’ Cataclysm rumors, which of course turned out to be one hundred percent true, and I nearly fainted in excitement. The only downside to it was the whole ‘human hunter’ thing. ARGH!!!! I have wanted a human hunter ever since I started playing this goddamn game 2 years ago! And now you give it to me, a few months after I finally give up and make a draenei hunter instead!?!? Now I will never get to experience the joys of a human hunter! Instead I get to stare at the spikey-haired, tentacle-faced, fat-assed behind of a draenei! Not cool!

Then there was Blizzcon. Ah Blizzcon. It’s only one day in and I’m already excited beyond belief. Personally, I’m not watching, going to, or covering Blizzcon. I will never make that mistake again. Having the news drip-feeded to me as they get posted on MMOChampion, hoping that they didn’t miss anything, is agonizing. Next year, it’s the incredibly convenient live internet stream for me!

And right about when I realised that, was when I realised that I really should have switched to Wordpress and gotten all of this sorted out a long time ago. I have so many posts that it would be so much better on the Wordpress blog I’d love to do! I have a name, but I’m working on a site address, and of course there’s still that weird image contrast distortion thingy going on, which is very bad, considering 2 of the most important posts I want to write are nearly completely composed of pictures. Sux.

So on a Blizzcon note, I will be giving my thoughts on it, but in multiple posts, (It’s only the 1st day and I already have 3 posts lined up on it.) and on a Wordpress blog. I need to hurry the hell up on getting the site switch ready, so I’ll try and get everything ready ASAP. But for now, I recommend everyone go over to the official WoW Cataclysm site, and check out everything that’s there. (There is a trailer! (Holy Sh*t! Freaking lava and destruction everywhere!!))

AFK

Ok, I am now officially AFK. Until the 15th anyway. That’s 6 days of computerless relaxation and fun. Ahh, summer. But luckily for you guys, I have a few AFK posts to put up. Including this one. I had just planned this post to be a short one, to confirm that I was gone for the week. But as I was writing it, I realized I haven’t really actually posted about WoW for a while. Which isn’t too good, considering this is a WoW blog, not a whatever the hell is on my mind blog. So I thought I’d just give a quick update on what I’m up to in WoW to tide you guys over until I can dedicate a post to something WoW related.

Honestly, I’m mostly lvling up professions on all three of my mains right now, as I’m just bored out of my mind on WoW anyway, with serious lvling on hold until 3.2 hits, so why not fill it with doing something productive ingame? And even better, I just discovered the wonder that is podcasts. (inorite?) I’ve always considered them worthless, as I wasn’t willing to spend a whole hour (Or more!) doing nothing but listening to a podcast. Then I realized that when I’m grinding up my professions, I’m wasting an hour or two bored out of my mind anyway, so I may as well listen to a podcast while I’m doing it! Right now I’m only regularly listening to Sidhe Devils Gone Wild, with BBB, Ratshag, Bre, and Lady Jess, and Gamerbooth’s podcast, but I do occasionally pull something random off of ITunes. ( By the way, Gamerbooth is gaming/Let’s Play forum created by JosefVStalin, Lucky, VadimCC and Sagetbh; all prominent ‘Let’s Play’ers’ on YouTube. I advise you check them out, as their videos are very entertaining.)

Other than that, there isn’t very much else going on with me WoWwise right now. My pally is slowly, slowly gearing up to get ready for heroics, (And spamming dailies.) I’ve started to play on my Deathknight and Hunter again, now that the ‘OMG I gotta get my first character to 80 and Northrend is so friggin’ awesome!’ rush is over, and that’s about it. I’m just, like everyone else, huddled around, waiting for 3.2 to hit. I'm actually planning a big 3.2 post, but since it's got a lot of pictures in it, I'm waiting until I fully switch to Wordpress to post it. Pictures are working just fine on Wordpress for me now, and so I’m just testing a few other things and I’ll be ready to move. If you’re interested in seeing how I’m doing on it, visit my testing blog here. I should probably be ready to move the blog after I get back from my vacation. Vacation? Oh yes, I’m going AFK from Aug. 9-15, about a week. (Don’t worry, I do have 1 or 2 AFK posts perfect for such an occasion…) But being ready to move a blog, and moving a blog, are entirely different things, the latter being dependent on how soon I can think of a good new name. Like I’ve said before, I’m horrible at making names, so It may be a while, unless I get some flash of inspiration.

Help Needed.

I started to try out Wordpress today. I like it. I'm fairly confident that I will move the blog over there soon. My only problem is I'm being an utter noob at things such as this, and I'm still failing at uploading pictures. I've gotten a lot further though. Thanks to the advice of inmysissyrobe, I've managed to actually upload pictures to the site. Like, they are visible. My only problem is I have a crapton of space insude the caption, below and to the right of the picture. Caption you ask? Oh yea, all this is in my new 'testing blog', on Wordpress. So, if anyone can help me with this, head over to my testing blog and leave a comment!

Should I Stay or Should I Go?

Well, I mentioned last post that there were going to be some big changes to this blog. I'm not gonna screw around with you guys, I'm gonna cut straight to the heart of the matter. I really don't like the theme of this blog. I made the title and theme of this blog when I first started because the one character I seriously played was my paladin. Hence, the paladin themed blog. I've realised by now that what I write isn't coherent with the theme. I don't blog about paladin stuff. Paladin blogs are blogs like Blessing of Kings, Honor's Code, or even Banana Shoulders or Paladin Schmaladin. Not Knights in Gold. My dilemma is that I don't think there is a way to change the actual title/address of your blog. So, it seems my only option is to create a new blog and continue form there. Now, a lot of bloggers switch sites. Blogger to Wordpress, or as they become more prominent, Blogger/Wordpress to their own domain name. But I don't know of anyone ever switching from Blogger to Blogger. Either this is probably because of:

a)There is some way to change the title and address, and I'm just a noob.

b) They're all just happy with their blog titles. (Much more likely.)

Another problem is even if I did switch, I wouldn't have a title. I'm horrible with creating titles and names and whatnot. When I write creatively, I spend ages pondering names for characters, just because I'm so bad at them. A good idea might be something to do with alts, but every single conceivable name that has anything to do with alts is already taken. (Altoholic, Alt Fanatic, Alt master, etc.) I don't like blog titles belittling myself. That just screams to me 'I'm unsure of myself, or I just couldn't think of a better name.' Noob[INSERT SECOND WORD HERE] is ok maybe, but stuff like 'NoobFail' I just hate. Of course, I could always switch to Wordpress, but I quite like Blogger's 'cosy' feel.

As for the secondary blog I mentioned earlier, it's in early development. (As in, it's got bits and pieces of ideas scrawled in my notepad.) It should be up and running as soon as I get a good title.

And finally, none of these big developments and ideas are going anywhere until I figure out how to post screenshots on this blog. It's something that's annoyed me for a very long time, as everyone can seemingly do it but me. So if anyone reading this knows, please leave a comment with instructions, it will save me a hell of a lot of wracking my brain and e-mailing every single last blogger I know of who uses blogger.

P.S. For some reason, my blogroll has partially broken. (Yet another reason to switch sites!) it won't update some blogs. The only one's I've figured out so far are Lady Jess and WoW.com. There's probably more, I just haven't found them yet.

Edit: Fixed the Blogroll! One with a middle button, preferably. When I bought my new desktop in January, I bought a wireless mouse with it. It doesn't have a middle button. It's definetely not a gaming mouse. (My problem with gaming mice is that most of them, (i.e 99% of them) are right-handed, and the few left-handed ones are a lot more expensive. Which is why I use a regular, neutral mouse) Now normally this wouldn't bother me. But recently, I've dual-specced Holy, and seeing how BBB reccomended it on his site, I decided to try VuhDo. (And I reccomend any new healers to give it a whirl at least too. Well, as far as I've figured so far, what I need keyed into it are: Holy Light, Flash of Light, Cleanse, Sacred Shield, and Holy Shock. With my sad little 4 key mouse, I have no room for Sacred Shield. Which sucks, since it really is important to always keep it on the tank.

-It's incredibly easy to get geared up reasonably well as Holy without ever stepping into an instance. Which is good, considering it's impossible to get into instances as Ret, and to get into them as Holy, I can't be in all Ret gear.

-There is ever growing pressure to switch professions and become an inscriptionist. My friends are telling me to do it, my guildies are telling me to do it, the evidence is all around me. Inscriptionists make a ton of cash. I need a ton of cash. It seems like a no brainer. The thing is, I'm a huge achievement whore and a small-pet collector. Which is the reason why I'm mining/Eng. right now. That and the roflcopter.

-I'm thinking of starting a new blog. Just a place to jot down my thoughts on random stuff, and to go all philosopical on your asses! I don't have it set up, nor do I have a site for it yet. In fact, I don't even have a name. It's just an idea that's been floating around in my head for a while now.

-There's gonna be some major changes in this blog. But that's another post. As you all well know, Goblin and Worgen Hallow's End masks have been datamined on the PTR. Previously, only playable races got masks. So this has got everyone pumped up and excited over if they'll be the 2 new playable races in the next expansion. Personally, I've suspected (roughly) something like this for ages now, and if you read mainstream WoW blogs, there's a chance you heard it too. (And if you haven't I advise you go read that article now.) (Props to Kinless by the way for having a spot on guess. (Nearly.))

Now, if you want a detailed overview of the whole goblin/worgen mask debacle, I suggest you go check out teh article over at Random Ravings of Warcraft. But I'm sure most of you know all about what's happening with these masks and also the whole Cataclysm trademarking thing. Now one of the things people are speculating is that considering neither Goblins or Worgen have any particular ties to either the Horde or the Alliance, they maybe neutral factions, being able to choose their side at around lvl 20 or so. With phasing, this would be entirely possible, in fact, it would probably be a lot like the Deathknight starting zone. Yes, I know you choose before you start playing, but in all aspects, until that final quest, you could be neither. You have almost no ties to the faction, both Horde and Alliance Deathknights coexist and play in the same zone, it would work out fine. And hey, maybe Blizzard won't even use phasing. When WoW first started, I doubt anyone would have thought phasing would be possible ingame. Hell, I doubt anyone would have thought of it all the way into TBC until it was announced! Blizzard has people paid to create new ideas, and new fangled things for this game every day. Maybe along with the next expansion will come something new and crazy that we couldn't even imagine!

On to the subject of Worgen. Blizzard has already mentioned that they plan on pre-seeding new playable races into the game, i.e, adding things inconspicuously to the game to get them ready, like character models, movement, lore, all that. For example, new in WotLK, the new worgen models could wear armor and carry weapons, and essential part of a playable race. And in any of you remember the book Torment of the Worgen, in Karahzan, transforms you into a worgen for 10 seconds. You can laugh, jump, wave, use weapons, even mount up! As you'll know if you've ever been under the effect of a tranformation spell like that, (i.e, the Hallow's Eve wands they're incredibly more limited. A lot of work for an npc that will almost never be used huh?

Of course, Blizzard perfectly well knows that we're all eager little news whores and that we datamine everything on the PTR. (Especially after that supposed 'Northrend plants' fiasco)
it may just be a big red herring, and someone at Blizzard decided to screw around with us a bit. And hey, they could still be used as masks for Hallow's Eve, so it wouldn't be like they were wasting productive work time either. And finally, as to people saying we will probably get new races in the new expansion because we just got a hero class, and Blizzard is alternating between races and classes, how are you so sure? How do you know that Blizzard decided at the beginning of designing TBC that they were gonna alternate like that? Maybe, they just added new races in TBC, and when WotLK arrived they realised that maybe the 1-Endlvl stretch was getting a little too long, and maybe they should add something to make high lvl players alt lvling a little easier? And hey, they'd wanted to put the Deathknight class in since Vanilla WoW, so why not? Hmm? What about that? What if they add races and a new class? Or what if they make a goblin/worgen only hero class?

/rant over

P.S I give all credit to Random Ravings of Warcraft and MMOChampion for most of these ideas. I'm just giving my opinion and maybe adding a bit here and there.

Edit: Yeah! Whoo! Yeah!!

My first lvl 80!!! Yeah!! W00t!!

So obviously, Drazmor just hit lvl 80, and I'm psyched!! And after about a week of being 80, I've hit the reason so many firends have quit WoW; how brutal it is to gear up regular instances at endgame lvl. It's obviously a nessessary step until I can hit 1000dps for heroics, but it's brutal! For the past 3days I've been trying for an instance every time i get into Dalaran, and I've gotten in one. Just one. And that was because it was Violet Hold, and and obviously people lvling up alts around lvl 76 want to run it. Damn. But hey, I've got my magic notepad of WoW, with my amazing pally cheatsheet (Which I will probably later find out is incredibly outdated, I wrote it that long ago.) But I'm determined I'm going to beat it, and so I will get through these dark times! Huzzah!!!

Other than that, all I've really been doing is doing Argent Crusade dailies and working on my mining, which has been sadly neglected after I quit Herbalism/Inscriptioning. It's just really, really, hard to gear up when you're sub-1000dps. :S

Drazmor

P.S Oh yeah and I and I updated my sidebars! Including a new blog of the week! (Which is turning out to be more of a Blog of the Whenever I Feel Like Updating It) And no, I did already subscribe to Repgrind, I didn't just add it when I got a comment on here. Whenever I feel like playing, I just feel like I have better things I could be doing. Like painting my ork army. (Games Workshop) Or finishing off my Space Marine army list. (Also Games Workshop) (Hmm, another hobby that requires lots of effort and writing plans down, I detect a trend...) Or going out with friends, or catching up on my reading.

So in a mad dash to try and get my WoW playing 'groove' back, I'm taking several steps to ensure I stop getting this huge 'WoW droughts'. (WoW Drought: Where the urge to play World of Warcraft completly dries up, except for that tiny spark constantly nagging you to play.) (I also had another WoW drought when Drazmor was about lvl 19, it only stopped when I went on vacation to Spain. Sadly, that's expensive, so can't do that now.) First, I'm going to go on a mad, random achievement spree to try and pique my intrest again. Also, (This is the thing I'm hoping will jump start my WoW playing.) I've planned out every serious alt I plan to make for, well, a very long time. Yes, I am that obssessive, yes I have a problem with writing lists about WoW.So, without further ado, here is the list:

- Drazmor

-Human Paladin

-Xhazmor

Tauren Deathknight

-Kaitus

Draenei Hunter

-Terath

-Human Rogue

-Voldorious

-Night Elf Druid

-Taitta

-Human Mage

-Khazmorz

-Dwarf Warrior

-Therlessa

-Human Priest

(Yes, Taitta is a blatant reference to Wilbur Smith and the Magus Taita. (Taita was already taken on both servers a I play on.))

What's more, I've also created every last one of those characters. So I am now the proud owner of a hell of a lotta lvl 1's. I am now officially an Altoholic! Also, since I am refusing point blank to play any of them without heirloom gear, they are going to sit on my screen and tempt me every day to play them. Not should it tempt me back to playing, it will force me to lvl all 3 of my main chars faster, since I need Drazmor at 80 to get gear for the alts on Cairne, Kaitus to grab heirloom gear for the guys on Kael'Thas, and Xhazmor to get gear for that lone hordie alt over on Cairne. So hopefully, this will jump start me into playing WoW again. I'll try and post something soon, but there really isnt much to post about right now, and there honestly, truly isn't enought time in my hectic day to paint Games Workshop, play WoW, play Empire:Total War, run 2 blogs and a website, and the billion other things I have to do. Oh yeah, and actually have a life of my own.

If I was in an elevator...

Happy 3.1 guys! Hope it's going well on your end! Personally, I'm halfway towards having enought cash for dual-spec, although I'm debationg on wheather to spend it on dual-spec of cold weather flying. I really don't get why they lovered the lvl down to lvl 40, if you're not really gonna have enought spare cahs on you until lvl 80. (Well, maybe lvl 78.) If you're steel reeling from having to pay 39g for your first mount, there's no way you'll have a whopping 1000g. I know lvl 80's who struggle to earn 1000g.

As for the fishing dailies, they've inspired me to finally lvl up my fishing. The new 'queue for BG's where ever you are in the world' thing really makes fishing a lot less boring. (Although it's still the most boring part of this whole game, in my opinion, mostly because of the sheer amount of stuff you need to catch.)

Now that I've got all my post-3.1 reflections out of the way, it's time to get down to the main purpose of this post. After thinking about it a lot, I've finally decided to take part in the official '31 days to build a better blog 2009'. Note that because of my erratic posting nature, this will be m0re like 31 posts to build a better blog, as I probably won't do the thing every single day for 31 consecutive days.

Now the first task I've been given is to develop an elevator pitch. An elavator pitch is basically summing up your blog in the time it takes to ride an elevator. It can be used to draw readers into your blog, say, when you're in an elevator. (Is the word elevator starting to sound wierd to you?)

When I first read the task, it seemed pretty easy for me. Because, while there may be a multitude of paladin blogs out there, none of them use a distinctly 'non-80, non-hardcore' look at things. And as I thought this over, I realised that really is my niche, not paladins. I have other characters that I enjoy just as much as pallies. I never really give a distinctly 'paladin' angle. (Revelation!) So because of this task, I will be fixing things up and moving away from the 'paladin' niche, and more into the 'total and utter noob' niche.

So here goes. This is my elevator pitch. (By the way I'm assuming everyone in the elevator know's what WoW is. (a.k.a, the elevator is at Blizzcon.))

"Knights in Gold is a blog giving an angle on WoW from someone who isn't a master of the game, and doesnt know everything there is to know about the game."

Whew. That was actually a bit harder than I thought! Well, obviously I'll have another post soon, definatly in the next few days.

Drazmor

Drazmor the Busy Bee

Now that Drazmor's hit Northrend, it's time to start thinking about his future. Now, since I won't be hitting lvl 80 before 3.1 comes out, (Well, I hope not.) I've got dual-specs to think about as well. (I've decided to go Ret/Holy by the way. I know, it's the 'out there, completly useless, nobody's using it' dual spec.) Now it's pretty easy to find a good gear list online for Ret and Prot, (Honor's Code has done and awesome gear list for Ret/Prot, I love it.) so I just had to add my own little touches here and there for that one and I was good. But I'n struggling to find a good online gear list for Holy that I'm happy with. So, being me, I'm going to write my own. I'm almost certain it'll suck, but I'll scrape through. It has given me a wierd, twisted love of writing gear lists though, so I may try (fail) at wiring one for my hunter.

So I've got the Ret gear list down, and as soon as I get the Holy one done, I'll pop up a proper post. (Sorry guys, but: WoW> WoW Blogging.) I just wanted to ;et you guys know what the hell I was doing. (I konw, not posting since March 17, it's a disgrace.)

Drazmor

But I wanna ride the goat thing!

I hate you Blizzard! Every time I'm about to do something important, (i.e: ding lvl 58/68 and about to go try the expansion and start questing in Hellfire Penisula/Borean Tundra.) you do a maininence. And it's always on a week off or when I'm sick, so I'm not at work! Now I have to sit here, sniffling and drinking Buckleys untill 2:00PM, waiting for servers to get back online!

Well, I suppose it's not actually that bad. And this is a great time to put up a blog post. So never fear, this isn't going to become a useless rant. On the subject of the title; if you don't know what a 'goat thing' is, (Not many do.) well, it's a talbuk. Ever since I first saw them, I've wanted to have one of my very own. I mean, just like in real life, if you see someone riding a goat, you know they're cool.

So let's rewind, just to clarify all this. After I hit lvl 65, I went over to Nagrand. And like many people, I fell in love with it. It's awesome. I absolutly adore it. In fact, when I hit lvl 66, instead of running off to Blades Edge Mountains, I stayed there. Sadly, 4 bars from lvl 68, I ran out of quests, and I had to go to Shadowmoon Valley. And that sucks. Since once I start to quest in a zone, I start to slip into the flow of it, and now I've abruptly ripped myself away. I miss you SMV! You may not have been as pretty as Nagrand, you may be less cool than Hellfire Penisula, you may even have been worse in every possible way (lvling wise) than Borean Tundra, but you'll always have a place in my heart.

After I read Wulf's post on it, I tried out Questhelper. I used to think it made the game too easy, but I was wrong. I love it. I'm leveling like lightening.I lvled 65-68 in a week! W00T! So, now I'm in the last stretch until lvl 80, and I'm strting to think ahead a bit. Like, what kind of lvling do I want to do? The was I see it, there are 3 types in expansions:
1)Lvl solely in dungeons and barely do any quests. The upside to this is you're already pretty well geared when you hit lvl 80. Well, better than the average 'new' 80. The downside to this is, well, you're basically just PuGing instances for 10 looong lvls, and I don't belive that's how Blizzard wanted us to lvl.
2) Super fast, running thru zones, cheapo lvling. This way is basically as soon as is humanly possible, go into the next zone. Many people do this, and it means basically you'll hit 80 in Icecrown. The downside to this is you hardly get any cash from questing at lvl 80 out of it, since you've already finished big chunks of the quests you can do for cash. Probably best method for an alt who has a big awesome main to lend them cash.
3)The last method is the one I'll probably do. Doing every single quest in each zone, milking each area dry before moving on to the next. This method, I used to think was 'out there', and wierd. But now I see the wisdom in it. With this method, you'll probably ding 80 midway through Grizzly Hills. That gives you 4 1/2 whole zones purely for cash. That's pretty good in my books.

Another thing planned is when exactly I'm gonna get my goat thing. Im'm aiming for very, very soon after I ding 80. (I'm talking like within the 1st week.) To all the people who think I'm crazy for going out of my way to grind to exalted with a useless TBC faction instead of running instances and gearing up. (Other than getting an UBER GOAT THING!!!)
a) Out of all the TBC factions, (In my opinion) The Kurenai have the coolest tabard. I love it. It's cool.
b) Hey, it's another faction checked off towards my 25 factions achievement, so why not?
c) Out of the countless rep grinds in TBC, the Kurenai seems one of the easier ones. I'm not talking about grinding 24hr a day for a week people! I'm talking about 3hr of killing ogres. That's not that hard! It's basically 1 nights work. Compared to some grinds, like the Sha'Tari Skyguard, and Cenarion Expedition, that's ridiculous!

Well, that's all for now, I'm just going to sniffle and shuffle around my house until WoW pops back up. Maybe I could start my calligraphy again...

Kinda Busy...

I'm apologising in advance for the lack of posts, as I'm really busy right now and I probably won't have much time for posting this week. In fact, it's really hard even just to fit this in, but like I said, I've got a ton of important stuff that needs doing by the end of this week. Luckily, there's a server reset today, so I couldn't play WoW even if I wanted to. That's good because now I can get a good chunk of it done. Still, I'm pretty busy, so don't expect any more posts until Saturday.

By the way though. I am fixing things up around here today. I finally fixed BBB's blogroll link, I think it's been broken for at least 2 months. (Remember waay back when his feed broke? Yeah, I've been too lazy to fix it.) I've also added my Armoury links, which every blogger should do, but again, I've been putting it off. If you're wondering why I give a lvl range on all my characters, it's because I'm still actively lvling them, so knowing me I would keep forgetting to update every time I ding. This way I only have to update after I reach the cap on my lvl range. Also, I've added a Blog of the Week box, where I'll show a featured blog every week. Usually it won't be a big blog like BRK, BBB, or Blessing of Kings, since they really don't need more publicity. Plus, there's a goldmine of awesome writer out there, who many people sadly don't know about because they're too busy reading the big blogs. So too all you big, well established blogs, throw out some ole fashioned link love now and again. As you can see, the first featured blog is Wulf's Warcraft Weblog. (WWW perhaps?) WWW is a hunter blog, (One of the legion out there) and is a Marksman. (Yay! /w00t!) Actually, his post on Questhelper is the one that persuaded me to try it.

'Hunter with big gun. /approve'
Words of BRK in Wulf Warcraft Weblog.

Drazmor

Friday Fivehundred

As you may know, if you take a lok at my blogroll, I follow Anna over at Too Many Annas. I do try to do the Friday Five's, and the Friday Fivehundred's, but I usually don't have the time. And yes, I do know that one day before the new one comes out is a little late, but seeing as I've already got it written out, (In my magical WoWPad.) and I have the time, here goes!

Unlike the usuall prompt, the starter for this one is just five words that must be included in the story: fog, book, bread, sailor, and horse. Other than thatm the only other requirement is that it be at least around 500 words. My entry for this week is focused on Xhazmor's early life, of which is mostly unknown. (Xhazmor is my Death Knight by the way.) As a child, he was a herb gatherer on the coast of Westfall, collecting herbs for rich scribes to buy on the market...

Xhazmor sighed as he watched the sailors step off the boat, looking like a ghostly procession snaking towards Ratchet's sole inn. He held a loaf of bread in his hands, but he didn't feel hungry. He knew he should eat it, he needed to keep his strength up for the long journey back to Booty Bay. As soon as Maiden's Virtue had unloaded it's cargo, they would be off, back to the goblin city and the steaming jungles of Stranglethorn Vale.

Only six more months, and he would be free. He knew now Mr. Rabbleshnick had overcharged him for the room and the journey from Westfall. After the old man out on the lighthouse had told him of the bountiful herbs of the Barrens, Xhazmor had packed up and left everything to make his fortune. He said his farewells to his family and set out for Sentinel Hill. When he got there however, he was broke. He was begging on the street when Mr. Rabbleschnick found him and offered him a job aboard his ship.

Caught up in his memories, Xhazmor nearly didn't see the rider until it was too late. One moment he was staring at the black canvas of the fog, and the next the horse's jet black hooves shattered his daydream like fragile glass.

Xhazmor got behind the protective barricade of the ships side and grabbed his musket. A cheaply made thing, the musket had been given to him secondhand after one of the sailors fell out of the rigging crossing the southern arm of the Maelstrom.

"Halt! Who goes there?" Xhazmor's voice quavered out of the darkness. He tried to make himself taller, to try and look braver than he sounded.

The man hopped down easily off the magnificent horse and strode proudly up the gangplank.

"My name, is Terathos Nightblaze, and I need to see your captain." The man spoke with enthousiasm and aurthority, and Xhazmor instinctivly trusted him.

"My captain is off-ship currently, and so you will have to deal with me, the ship's officer currently." Terrified he may be, Xhazmor was always a smooth liar. It wasn't too much of a lie, anyway; as the only person on ship right now, he could be considered the ships officer. Terathos instantly saw through the young boy's lie, but decided to go along with it. The boy was probably an orphan, tricked into a life at sea by the heartless goblins. He pitied him.

"Well then officer, I suppose we should discuss this in your quarters, for 'tis a cold night for one like me born and raised in the heat of Stranglethorn." He said with a twinkle in his eye. Xhazmor was pleasantly surprised by the fact he had conned this man. obviously a noble, into thinking he was an officer!

Xhazmor and Terathos talked all through the night, and only left once the sounds of the crew returning were in the air.Xhazmor spilt his heart out, and told Terathos of his hard childhood in Westfall. Terathos told Xhazmor of his adventures in Kalimdor, and how the Ratchet Innkeeper ewas keeping a very special book, his sole faily heirloom, for ransom, and so Terathos was being forced to steal it back. And that was why Terathos so needed a boat out of Ratchet, to escape. He didn't care where it went, Theramore, Darnassus, it didn;t matter, He just needed to leave. And never, not once did they give up the pretense that Xhazmor wat the ships officer.

*

It was a bright sunny morning when the Maidens Virtue set off for Booty Bay. They sailed under a cloudless sky, and the sun sparkled like diamonds off calm waters. It was perfect. But Xhazmor was worried. Maidens Virtue was about to leave, and Terathos was still somewhere in Ratchet.

Suddenly there was a loud crash, and the distinctive 'pop' of a goblin blunderbuss. Terathos appeared, bursting out of the top window of the Ratchet inn, book in hand, an angry innkeeper on his heels. Just as the ship was about to sail out of reach, Terathos leapt, and landed in a heap on the ship's deck.

Xhazmor heard the captain storming up from his cabin. He remembered that the Maiden's Virtue's 'illustrious' captain was close friends with Ratchet's innkeeper. Terathos didn't have a chance. Suddenly, the captai stormed out on deck. He stank of ale. Even worse.

"What's the meaning of this!?(Sorry, my keyboard won't type interrobangs.) I get woken up with reports of passengers stealing from the respectable Ratchet inn?" Shouted the red-faced captain. "I should throw you overboard for this!"

"But sir!" Xhazmor jumped in. "The book wasn't his! The innkeeper stole it from Terathos!" To this day, Xhazmor never really knew why he intervened, but his heart told him to, and he leapt into action.

'Enough! I won't hear of it!" You're both obviously liars!" The captain was nearly screaming now. Then he turned around to face them, this time with an evil gleam in his eye. "If you're so quick to defend him, maybe you can join him! I'll dump you both off on the coast, and damn what Rableschnick says!"

And so Xhazmor found himself in the Barrens, but not the way he imagined in the slightest. Oh well.

3.1 PTR notes. (The important bits)

Yes as promised, it's here. My thoughts on the 3.1 PTR patch notes. I warn you now. As always I try to spin a new angle on an old topic. So this is NOT me rehashing opinions on class changes and how they will affect raiding. How would I know anyway? I don;t even have a lvl 80! So without any further ado, here goes! (All info and pictures can be found at MMOChampion's page here.)

First off, new Tier 8. It seems like Blizzard has learnt not to take things to the extreme. Yes, during TBC things were very, um... colourful. We looked like ugly ducklings. We hated it. But that didn't mean we wanted cold, dead, black and brown armor with the occasional tusk thrown in the pot for effect. We like colour, we just want it to match, that's all we ask.

-One thing I've noticed is that pally gear seems to look either like colourful, bright, happy clowns, or something out of Mortal Kombat. Thank god, this time it's leaning towards Mortal Kombat.

-As usual, DK gear looks totally badass.I think they're taking over warlocks as king of the Tier gear.

-Speaking of warlocks, their gear looks pretty cool, but kinda like Lost Ones. I really, really hate Lost Ones.

-OMG WTF IS THAT THING ON TOP OF ROGUE TIER 8?!?!?!?! /retch

-Blizzard: Making volcanic shammy shoulders since Tier 5.

-omg warriorz r vikingz! kewl uber leet dood! lolz (I for one feel ever blogger has to make a tasteless 'WoWChat' joke at least once in their blogging career.)

Obviously there's dual-specs. There's been a lot of controversy surrounding them, but I'm gonna say I'm on the side that's looking forward to them. This completely erases my antagonising over whether to stay Prot or go Holy at lvl 80, and that's sweet. There is the issue that most people will probably have absolutely no experience in their new spec role, but that's easily solve by running TBC raids. Most of them can easily be 5 manned, and Hyjal and BT can be 15 manned.

No more black/plagued proto drakes? WTF!! Sure Ulduar equipped people would have an easier time, but did they get rid of Amani War Bear after Black Temple came out? No! This is really cruel, giving us one of the coolest mounts in-game then taking them away in a matter of months. I totally agree with keeping it challenging, but pulling these mounts as soon as new content comes out is a bit much. Dammit I'm pissed. /QQ.

And some other details, carrying on from that small little QQ of mine...

Dungeon maps! Finally! People have been complaining about this since WoW first came out. This will rock, especially for some of my purist friends who can't/don't want to use addons. It remains to be seen how these rank up next to some of those very good dungeon map addon's out there.

30min cooldown on hearthstones? Lol wut? Why on earth did Blizzard cut hearthstone cooldown in half you ask? (Actually, I bet all of you already know this, but I'll carry on anyway.) In all honesty, it's because players QQed over the loss of ghetto hearthing. Either that or they're making up for that... thing on top of Rogue Tier 8. /shudder.

It seems Children's Week has gone to Northrend with the rest of you buggers. No, I'm not trying to be a Ratshag wannabe, I'm actually British, and so hold the right to say the word bugger, and any other British word, like rubbish, anytime I feel like it. So there's now Gorloc/Wolvar kiddies, so that means I can get 3 pets a year now! And of course, there's swimming mounts now to help you give you're tour of Northrend a little faster. ( Though I have to admit, 1/2 a ton of horse and steel (Pally charger) swimming daintily through the water does look a little weird.

And finally, there's the much rumoured, no one really knows anything about, (Drumroll please.) Argent Tournament! (Wooo! Yeah!! That's right!!!) Offering new, mounted combat, which Blizzard has been hinting about since TBC came out. Also Blizzard is taunting us with tabards for each city, which I feel have always been missing from this game. (If I'm a brave representative of Stormwind, how come I can't wear their tabard?) Anyway, the rewards. Stop getting me off track. Pets and mounts for each city, sweet new gear, (Ok, maybe not for the raiders, it basically equals out to Heroic gear) a new currency to fill our currency page up, buy all this stuff, and oh yeah, BUY THAT KICKASS ARGENT HIPPOGRYPH!!!(By the way, I've totally just realised that the Agrent Hippogryph is one of the really good Cenarion Hippogryph models thay never put in game. I've always wanted a hippogryph. Sadly, the only one that I know of that's currently in game is the Cenarion War Hippogrph, and although it does look really cool, (Especially when flying in Zangarmarsh) I really hate Cenarion, followers of Cenarion, and ALL factions that have the word Cenarion in their name. What a stupid name anyway. Sounds like Centurion. /humph

So there you have it, my angle on this much overused and wrung out blog topic. I'm sure you've heard the gist of this many, many times, even if you hadn't zoomed off to MMOChampion you would have known exactly what's on it. But hey, as a WoWBlogger, you can't exactly ignore the biggest thing to hit WoW since the announcement of WotLK. I have a few more post's lined up, I'm running out of time to do them! (In fact, the next post has to be out by Friday, so I'll have to churn it out by tomorrow.) Until tomorrow then,

                    Drazmor.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://knightsingold.blogspot.com/2009/03/31-ptr-notes-important-bits.html' title='3.1 PTR notes. This time I had a reason. I was testing out Wordpress, to see if I might switch Knights in Gold over to Wordpress. After much delibiration, I probably won't. The honest reason for this is, for me Blogger is just simpler and easier for a noob who's never done this before. Also, RL has kept me busy for a while now, and I simply haven't had the time. But I will be posting regularly now.

Other than that, my Death Knight hit lvl 60 yesterday. I'd been taking it really slow, and my leveling partner hadn't been on much, so I'd mostly just been doing bg's and lvling up mining and Blacksmithing. But now I've hit 60, and I'm itching to try out Dancing Rune Weapon and buy mahself a Kodo. I've always loved kodo's, and I'm gonna farm BRD to the ground if I have to for it next Brewfest. Other than that, I've just been leveling up inscription/herbalism/cooking/fishing/exploring Azeroth. Oh yea and drooling over patch 3.10.

That reminds me, I will be giving my angle on 3.10, in 2 parts, since I don't think you can do it justice in 1 post. Probably. I may have not thought this through well enough, and I may not have enough material to cover for 2 posts. I may make it 1 long post. I don't get how just because I play World of Warcraft, I'm a geek. Yes, I may partly fit into the steryotypical geek personality in your eyes, but what I don't understand is why I'm a geek for the sole reason I play World of Warcraft. I may as well say 'you play Halo 3, you're a nerd.' See? Not so nice now is it?

It's just a game people! Yes, I'll admit, some things, such as using a WoW gide for a book report, or writing a WoW Roleplay for an English project, is going to far. All though, come to think of it, why not? People only don't do that because they know other people will laugh and riducule them. I shouldn't have to hide the fact I play WoW.

There, that's my rant for today. Since I'm gonna be gone for the next little while, I thought I should get that off my chest. Just a quick update, then I'll be done. I started working on Drzmor again, less on my DK. I think I stopped playing him mostly because Hellfire from a completly new angle, (The Horde one) is more interesting than Zangarmarsh after you've been there for 3 lvls. But I dug in, and dinged 64. I'm lovin Seal of Vengeance. But lvl 64 also means, I get to experience the wonders of Terrokar Forest.

Now many people say this is their least favourite zone in Outlands. (And considering most people don't like Outlands as a whole, that's saying something.) And I think I know why. In nearly every zone in Azeroth has a purpose in it. In Hellfire you're defeating the demon front, and that's ve emphasized. In Zangarmarsh, you're protecting the natural balance. In the Plaguelands, you're defeating the hordes of undead, in Elwynn, you're defending you're homeland. Terrokar Forest has no purpose, no problem threatening to destroy it. 'But Drazmor!' you say. 'What about that huge barren crater in the middle of the zone!' But think about it a little. Will that large crater immediatly destroy Terrokar? No. The Shadow Council are more like the Defias in Elwynn. Unlike the demons in Hellfire, where letting you're guard down for a moment could kill us all.

Drazmor.

I'm still here!

I know, I know, I've been bad. I've neglected my blog for nearly a month. Damn. But honestly, I've just been too lazy to post. I get a great idea for a post, then I decide to actually play WoW. It's hard, since I just got Burning Crusade and WotLK, the allure of WoW is very appealing. So I'm just gonna compress all those ideas of the past month and put em in 1 post.

While I've been gone, I've thought about a few things. First and foremost is healing. From what everone says, there is a healer shortage in WotLK endgame. Now I really like tanking. I haven't had much experience, but I like healing too. So unless this whole healer shortage buisness clears up by the time I get to 80, it looks like I'm gonna be respecing to Holy.

Speaking of endgame, my friend Derran, who I talked a bit about in the last post, did his first Naxx10 last night. Now he's every purist about these things, so he firmly believes addons are cheating. I'm of a different mindset. So yesterday I tried out Power Auras. I got the idea of BRK's post on the matter. So right now I have an aura for Devotion and Crusader aura, Judgement of Light, and Righteous Fury.

So in my leveling news, I'm out of Hellfire. Actually I've been out of Hellfire for a while now. I think I might be out of Zangarmarsh by the end of the week, but then I'm away for a week. You know, I was really pumped up for the Sporeggar quests, but then all I get is a few instance quests. That really sucks when you're in Outland these days. It's nearly impossible to get a group. I'm still waiting to finish of my quests for Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace!

Like I said in the begining of the post, I recently got WotLK. While geting a port to Dalaran still eludes me, (Actually, I got one first try, but I forgot to set my hearthstone there, and I haven't been able to get one since.) I did make a Death Knight. A horde one, so I can still be on Cairne, but I can try out not being under the wind of my hardworking main/guild. The only downside I have to my tauren so far is he looks really stupid on his DK mount, and I've gotta wait till lvl 60 to get my Kodo. I may be the first to say this, but I will; you know that DK quest with the frost wrym? That was one of the worst quests I've ever done. Mainly since it reqired both hands just to move the thing, and unlike all you hardcore gamers, I haven't sewn on a third arm to 'enhance gameplay'.

And on a final note, sadly, I lost my little notebook of awesome. The one that had my ultimate pally cheat sheet in it. Damn. I'm really not looking forward to writing that again. Well, I will try to post more often guys.

Drazmor

Ding Ding!

I dinged twice over the weekend. So now I'm lvl 61 and I've got my epic mount!!! I'm planning to explore all of Azeroth in celebration. My friend Derran helped me with the last few bars of 61, doing Overlord, wich I'm sure you all remember. (He did) He also helped me finish off a few nondescript quests and showed me his Ghostly Skull. Also, after we had sone that, we did a really cool thing, to take a break from levelling, but I'm going to dedicate a whole post to later. Trust me, it was a hell of a lot of fun, even for him. I've got a ton of screenshots.

So when I got back from 'the thing', I decided I needed some quality time with Azeroth. (I've started to plan for these things, and I'm not going back until lvl 63.) First and paramount was going to buy epic mount and my charger. I love not having to do that quest. Instead I get it instantly. After that I decided I needed to lvl up fishing. And cooking. At the same time.

Yea! I did it! I needed to know how to post screenshots for my special post of the event. Now, before I cut this off, does anyone know how to make these screenshots bigger without pixelating them? Right now I'm copying them into Microsoft Word, then saving them as a web page. Any help is much appreciated, as Derran really wants me to post 'the thing'.

Drazmor

Outland here I am

So, I got Burning Crusade today. Oddly enough, it wouldn't install, so I went to the site and entere my box code. It updated my account instantly, so there were no installs, and I was playing 5min after I got home. Next up, Wrath of the Lich King!

The thing I'm actually hating is all the new gear. Since I was hovering at the lvl cap for nearly a month, I was nearly all decked out in blues, from my countless Stratholme runs. Yet as soon as I get to Hellfine Peninsula, since it's a starter zone, I'm getting all these gear upgrades. It's horrible! All my beautiful blues replaced by cheap, ugly quest greens! I expect I won't be bothered by this in Northrend, since I'll be in quest greens anyway. I think the item I'll miss the most is my Crest of Supremacy, for Adamantine Kite Shield.

So I've done a ton of quests on my Pally, started a Draenei Warrior and a Blood Elf Priest, and set them up hovering near lvl 10. Basically all the perks of Burning Crusade. But before that, endeed, before I went out to even buy Burning Crusade, I spent the morning doing something doing something slightly less interesting, but much more involving. I finished my Prot Pally, lvl 80 cheetsheet. (Actually several sheets) It has talents, spellbar setup, important stats, and stat numbers, glyphs, consumables, enchants, gems, and a ton of gear choices. I know, it's a little too far off to be plainning for this kind of stuff, but I needed something to do while I waited to get back on WoW. No I'm not gonna show it, if only because its very relative, written by someone who isn't even in his lvl 70's, and its very long. And I haven't even included raid gear. By the way, thanks to Rohan over at Blessing of Kings and Raider101, (Raider101 is an awesome idea by the way, and perfect for people who arn't raiding yet.) and Honors Code of, Honors Code. (Honors for the gear, and Raider101 for the rest)

And finally, I just got a great idea off Jess at Casualtree of War(craft). Just right now. Ok, maybe 10-15min ago. Her newest post. Go on, have a look, I'll wait.

Now you've all read it and added her to your feed readers, I'll continue. For those of you who were to lazy to read it, (Shame on you) this idea is WoW Project 365. In this version of the project, instead of taking a photo of your life a day, you take a WoW screenshot. Now I don't want to make this exactly the same. I will if I have to, but I don't want to. Some thought will have to be given on this one.

Drazmor

Outland here I come

Ok, it's settled. I will almost certainly get Burning Crusade and possibly Wrath of the Lich King tomorrow or Sunday. Whenever I have time to go to Futureshop/Best Buy/EB Games. Everything's set up and prepared. I've ben waiting for this for over 2 months now. And I've been nearly WoWless for over a month. I think it's been good for me. Also, without that, I would have never discovered the joys of the WoW Blogosphere.

I think I got into it, because months ago, I was laughing at those WoW halloween costumes, and I google searched it. (Something like that.)The Hunters Mark came up. I had a little look around the site, wasn't too interested in it.

Now zoom forward to December 08. I was WoWless, and I needed something to do. Something in th back of my mind reminded me of THM. I had a look around, (again) and was a little more interested this time. Now THM is one of my favourite blogs.

I spent days when I got home browsing through the blogosphere, finallising my feed reader. (Not to say I never add to it anymore) From then on WoWblogs spent up most of my computer time. Except for the occasional Stratholme run, searching for the Deathcharger mount. I might squeeze one last run in this weekend.

And that brings me to my last point. Getting the expansions, I've got lots of decisions. DO I wanna switch proffessions? DO I wanna make my DK my main? (Don't worry, prolly not) But the big one is the one I want your guys help answering. Should I name my DK Zhazmor, or Xhazmor?

I know, I know, it's only one letter, but I can only make one of him, so I want his name to be a good one. It won't stand up to a genius name like Drazmor of course, but that's to be excpected.

Drazmor

False Alarm

Well, after 12hr of downloading WoW patches, I finally went to go get the TBC online upgrade. I know this blog isn't very WoWrelated right now, but thats just because I have no point to go on WoW right now. ( My max lvl is 60)

The man sat in the front room of the Goldshire inn, where he had been staying for the past week. He had come to Stormwind City looking for a fresh start, but he had found nothing but misery.

He had been born in the town of Everlook, in the snow carpeted land of Winterspring. Named Uther Lightforge, he was named after the great paladin of his name. When he was 12, his mother died tragically of the plague. With his fater dead long ago from the wars, Uther was now an orphan. With nothing left for him in Everlook, he left for Starfall Village, to learn under the druidic Night Elves.

Years later the Elves of Starfall Village had taught Uther all they knew, and he was well on his way to becoming a full fledged druid of Moonglade. With nothing left for him in Winterspring, his mentors sent him back out into the world with instructions to head to the metropolis of Darnassus, to seek further tutalege in the Druidic ways.

He stopped in the sickened forests of Felwood, where he realised his true joy was helping healing the land, wherever it was in plight. He procceded to spend 2 years in Felwood, helping out with the cleanup effort. After 2 years, he realised to better help the land, he needed to complete his Druidic training, and so once again set off for the city of Darnassus.

When he arrived however, he was shunned and rejected by the resident Druids there.

'Humans don't have the right to be Druids', they claimed. 'He would not have the mindset needed to grast the finer points of the art,' they said. Uther stormed from Darnassus in a rage.

From there he wandered the mighty land of Kalimdor, helping the people and healing the land wherever he could. Everywhere he went however, he sound goblins. Sickened by their disrespect and exploitation of the land, he swallowed his pride and returned to Darnassus.

He had long accepted that the 'mighty' druids of Darnassus would not teach him, and so he settled down in the quiet Rut'Theran Village, working as a deckhand on The Bravery, shuttling people to and from Stormwind City.

Eventually, lured by travelers lurid tales of opportunity and adventure, he left Kalimdor for Stormwind. He took up work as a dockworker, lodging at the Goldshire inn. Where he was now. But no matter how far he went, and how long he was gone, he would never forget his beautiful homeland of Kalimdor.

Outside of WoW

I was going to write a really in depth, long, post, (Probably the first installment of my RP story) but I really don't want to just copy a loadof writing out of a book right now. So I'm gonna keep it short and snappy.

So I'm still locked out of the internet, so I'm hardly on WoW, except for my friends RP project on Moongarde, but the point is, I have a lot of time to spend in RL. So in that time, I got thinking about what I really like to do, as hobbies. Other than WoW. When I start calling WoW my hooby, I will be in dire straits indeed.

Obviously I like to write, and reading kind of comes hand in hand with that, so I have been reading a fair few good books. ( I got this post idea off Honors Code by the way.)

                                                                 The Inheritance Cycle

Christopher Paolini

Right, now I know the movie was very child friendly. And I know it was written by a 15yr old. And I know at first sight the book looks childish. But honestly, these books are probably the second best fantasy books I've ever read. Especially Brisingr, which I read over Christmas.( I'm a very fast reader) If you're a fantasy lover (like me) these are must reads.

The Sharpe Series

Bernard Cornwell

Again, this is another very good series, very popular. It spans 21 books and an excellent T.V series. Bernard Cornwell is a very well respected historical fiction author, but I think the Sharpe series if by far his best. To cut a long story short, the Sharpe series follows Richard Sharpe, a British soldier in the 1800's. (Also, I just noticed the Sharpe series is on this exact font. Trust me to think of that)

Magician

Raymond E. Feist

You know how I mentions the Inheritance cycle were the second best fantasy books I've ever read? Well this is the best. Hell, for me this is the best book ever written. If you're a fantasy lover and you haven't read this, shame on you. /spit. Go read it. Now. I'll wait.

Now that you feel properly ashamed for missing out on such and awe inspiring book, I'll continue. This book is so revelutionarily different, you'll shudder, wondering how the author could possibly be a normal human being. Its essentially 3 different stories wrapped into one. Any one of them could have made a good book, but he combined them to make the best literary masterpiece ever. Except for maybe the Bible.

So, all in all, what's you'r favourite book? It can be any book you want. Heck, it could be the WoW manual if you want.

Getting Orginised.

Right then. I thought, seeing how I've just got this up and running, I should orginise myself, what I'm going to do on this blog and when. First, I thought that this would be the perfect time to unleash my NOTEPAD OF LISTS AND OTHER WoWISH STUFF on the world. So then, lets have a look inside.

First, I will probably release my WoW wish list in several installments. The stuff on it will vary, although I do have a 5 page list of vanity pets and mounts to draw from. Secondly I will try and release my ongoing RP story I have partly written down somewhere. Yes it will involve a Pally, no I don't have a title yet, and no, its not another one of those DK stories that are filling up the blogosphere.

And last but not least, I have an idea that I will release soon. I do actually need a viewer base to do it properly, so I will release it when the time comes.

Until next time,

Drazmor

A Different Perspective

Throughout my time trawling through the WoW blogosphere, I've noticed that nearly all of these bloggers, have at least one lvl 80 character, sometimes more; and therefore, half the time, thats what they blog about. It's not intentionally, they blog about what they're doing in WoW, and lots of the time, obviously, they do 80 endgame stuff.

I'm rambling on a bit here, (I tend to do that) but thats where my blog is different. I don't have a lvl 80. Not even close. Not even a lvl 70. My Paladin is lvl 59 currently, waiting for Burning Crusade.

What do I mean? Well, I just got a new computer, but I'm having problems getting it to accept my wireless router, so I can't get on WoW except on the old family computer. As soon as I get internet, I'm gonna buy the online BC and WotLK upgrades. And then, maybe, this blog will get interesting. Just maybe.

Until then, don't worry, I have quite a lot to talk about without being able to play right now.

Welcome

Well, after much decision making, I finally decided to make a WoW blog. I probably won't post much on this untill after xmas, when I will probably post regularly.

What is Knights in Gold? If you haven't guessed already, it's a WoW blog for pallys. I was origanally gonna wait patiently, and start this blog when I hit lvl 80.
I'm not a very patient person.

So instead I'm starting it at lvl 60. If you actually know my pally toon on WoW, don't go on about me not even being lvl 60 yet; tho point is, I'll be 60 by around xmas.

So, I hope to keep this thing running well, even though I am a total noob on stuff like this, I will try.

Drazmor
